While many members of society have reported on the imminent climate change conference I thought I would throw my two pennyworth into the discussion. In my spare time from being a realtor in Toronto, I enjoy contemplating and reading up on worldwide issues. Climate progression is one specific area that interests me.
Early December sees the United Nations Climate Change Conference being held in the town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The people attending hope to reach important decisions, primarily around a new framework for climate change mitigation beyond the year 2012. Even so, we shouldn’t see this conference as a forum of climate change enthusiasts. With many differing opinions it will definitely be a lively debate.
Forceful developments in climate change mitigation were wanted when Barack Obama became president. What should this new age of climate change look like is the inquiry on people’s lips? The Kyoto protocol was heralded as the way forward at one time, but now even environmentalists are seperating themselves from it.
Although the protocol was approved in 1997 it is recognized that the need the agreements made need to be debated again. By the year 2020 its is anticipated that GHG emissions will be decreased by 20% based on the 2005 figures. Still, this is literally what Kyoto was about (getting 5% below 1990 rates). This lax attitude toward the shrinkage schedule is being heavily criticized by some activists – as the mild conditions of Kyoto will effectively be loosened even further.
This issue is tied to another crucial area of dispute. Countries in the South such as Brazil, South Africa and India who are understood to be large polluters are unlikely to be troubled by any environmental action taken, whilst countries in the North could see a massive impact on their economy. When the controversy comes about between North and South, the southern countries believe the north owes them as they are disturbed by climate change more. Northern countries accept that developing countries may need to generate higher emissions to literally fuel their growth (although some activists see such aggressive ‘slash-and-burn’ development as a dead end route anyway), but with the economic troubles and China’s emergence as a world power, countries like India and Brazil are less willing to make any sacrifices.
Another sensitive problem inside the anti climate change movement is related to the emission trade. While followers (mainly government officials) claim that proposing market rules can offset the negative economic repercussions of emission restrictions, opponents see it as another chance for black market trade, cheating and scams. They stipulate there should be deep changes to economic and social structures (larger power and control in hands of local communities), in order to stop climatic disaster.
The UN Climate change conference may answer some important decisions, but in my opinion they are probably not going to be anything miraculous. But maybe more crucial is the amassing of pressure groups across the whole society, which can be seen nowadays. The public is going to Copenhagen and showing their interest in our home, that’s the right cure!

Global warming has gone from not being considered at all, to largely derided, to largely scientifically accepted. While many still argue that it’s been made up, most scientists agree that the planet is, on average, increasing in temperature and that the human race is aiding this rise. So what can you do? And yet, the massive number of men and women who saw fit to make this change happen have now decided their job is over, and it’s now up to the White House to make all the choices, but this is not the case. It’s been shown that Nixon, for example, was greatly affected by protests to the Vietnam War, and the civil rights movement owes the changes it made to the people power that was commonplace in the 60’s. By learning the lessons of history, we can see that changes are still ultimately in the hands of the common people.
So it’s not enough to ask others to solve the problem of global warming for us, we have to do it ourselves. This starts with making whatever small changes in how we live that we can, and paying more attention to the impact we have on planet Earth.

Normally we will find two types of houses. How we keep things is a very revealing aspect of social norms, nature and human psychology. Storing items is common aspect of the living experience. Perishables have been stored in a million different ways throughout the ages. Perishables have been stored in pits lined with sage, clay and rock, it has been stored in bark and skins. Food has been kept in the ground, trees, caves and little sheds. Wardrobes have been kept in chests, closets, boxes and shelves. Books are kept on shelves, on tables and now online. Bob was a typical case of storage drama. Bob enjoyed to go on adventures. Bob had a sense of adventure, a positive attitude and a new car. Bob needed an organized space because it helped him believe there was order in the world. He packed his car with his belongings and drove to the mountains for a camping trip. Bob loved eating great food in the outdoors. He packed all the fixingsin his car which will last for a week. He had his dry goods carefully stored in water tight interlocking containers neatly stacked in the shelf like indentation over the rear tire. He placed his perishables in a built-in cooler|cooler built into the car}. He placed all of his gear in cargo nets and neat containers located in the back of his vehicle. Every Item had its spot and Bob was very happy.
As a little boy Bob had to deal with the volatile nature of his father, a man that drank to numb his own pain. His father would come home and either lift Bob up into a hug, or he would scowl and snarl sending the young boy to his room. Sometimes without warning a playful wrestling game turned into a swift slap to the face. Bob was terribly afraid of his father His father would call for him to play and Bob would approach timidly, fearfully, inviting more indignation from his old man. After a rough session, one where his dad seemed to be playing, but threw him down too hard, twisted his arm too hard or said too many mean things, Bob would go to his room and play with his blocks, setting them up carefully and putting the all in order.
In his new car, his life as an adult free of the childhood terrors, Bob drove into a beautiful mountain campsite with all his perfectly stowed gear. He parked at a beautiful site and cooked a tastey meal. The park ranger had told him about the bear boxes, storage containers to keep food safe from the bears that liked to wander the campground. Bob usually listened to good advice as he was a smart guy. But everything was perfectly in its place and Bob couldn’t imagine unpacking it. His desire for order influenced a decision which would prove costly. Bob woke up in the middle of the night to find a bear ripping open his car and create havoc to get to his food.

For maintaining the information security in an organization, information security audit is a must. Information security audit is not a part of the original implementation of the information security.
An information security audit is carried out to ensure the smooth execution of information security policies in the organization. Therefore, an information security audit is required to be taken periodically by certified individuals. In an organization, there are many ways and parties doing such audits and let s have a look at each type.
There are internal information security auditors who conduct an information security audit periodically to make sure the organization’s information assets are safe from hackers, computer viruses, and other classes of attacks. Therefore, there are guidelines and procedures defined for ensuring such security and everyone and every department of the company is expected to adhere to the defines processors and procedures when executing the day-to-day activities.
